SESSIONS: Fabolous - "The Young OG Project"
It's the holiday season, guys. In Hip-Hop there are a lot of things you can count on during the holidays, and one of them is a new project from Fabolous. For the past three winters, the Brooklyn veteran has dropped new projects in forms of the There Is No Competition and The S.O.U.L. Tape series'.
This Christmas, Fab takes it a step further with a brand new project available for iTunes called The Young OG Project. "If you got all those S.O.U.L. Tapes you owe me, go get it. You've got three mixtapes for free! Give me the ten," Fabolous laughingly stated in a recent sit-down with STASHED.
Before you go ahead and purchase that project, which would be his first while managed by JAY Z's Roc Nation, Fab told us everything we can expect from the brand new album which draws a ton of influence from the 1990s. He also speaks at length about why he draws so much inspiration from social media and memes into his music, especially on songs like "Lituation" and "Cinnamon Apple."
"In the 90s, nobody was talking about social networks because there weren't any social networks," explained Fabolous. "If there were social networks back then, I'm sure that would lead the way. Method Man said 'I got myself a shorty and I got myself a 40,' that's because people were drinking 40s back then. It was a relatable thing."
